We are very thankful this year that we are able to meet together on Resurrection Sunday! This year's event will begin at 8:00 a.m. for a Sunrise Breakfast. Our focus will be on fellowship as we contemplate the work of Jesus on the cross and the true cost of our salvation. All are welcome. Bring a friend! Our Easter Worship Service will begin at 10:30 a.m. If you would like to be a breakfast server, arrive at the church at 7:30. Thank you.
The youth of First Baptist are deeply concerned about mothers and their babies. They have decided to support the Caring Pregnancy Center in Mason City by participating in their annual Baby Bottle funds drive! They are off to a good start with two bottles completely filled with spare change and even some dollar bills. Their participation also puts them one step closer to fulfilling all requirements for their "Baby Bundles Badge." If you would like to contribute to this very worthy cause, please send donations to the church! (Address below.)
If you would like to receive a daily devotional, please send your name and address to the church clerk here at FBC! We will gladly send you one. Better yet, COME and join in Christian fellowship! We will begin our weekly morning bible study soon. Praise God!
Every Wednesday night at 6 p.m., the adults of First Baptist meet together to discuss the basics of a biblical worldview. We utilize an important resource: Answers.tv from the folks at Answers in Genesis, is a trustworthy guide for insight into today's issues. What is YOUR starting point? Is the Bible history? Genesis 1-11 is not fiction and nothing and no one can usurp the infallible Word of God. Remember Genesis 1:1, "In the beginning, God..." TRUST in the Lord, God. He is the only eye-witness to creation. Come next Wednesday for 20 minutes on "Defining Genesis." All are welcome!
January/February Mission project was offered to Answers in Genesis. We thank God for this ministry as they supply all our needs for teaching the Word of God in Sunday School and Apologetics. Our March/April Mission project is to give to the Caring Pregnancy Center in Mason City. Through offerings and the provision of needed baby items, we will assist those helping others to provide for the needs of young families with children and to save the lives of babies. Amen!
